Situated an hour from the ‘coolest little capital in the world’, the beautifully warm region of Wairarapa in New Zealand is calling you!
Meaning “Glistening Waters” in Te Reo Māori, Wairarapa is one of New Zealand’s most diverse and appealing regions, including a mix of internationally acclaimed wineries, stunning coastlines, mountains and bustling little towns, the lifestyle on offer is second to none.
The Opportunity
A number of practices across the region are seeking additional General Practitioners, to meet the growing patient demands in this expanding area.
These practices are integral and highly valued parts of their communities, and are all independently clinician owned. This allows our practitioners to deliver a model of care that they are truly passionate about, while leading multi-disciplinary teams at the heart of their community. Typical consult times are 15 minutes, with little after-hours or weekend requirements, allowing a strong focus on both quality of patient care and work-life balance.
With our growing area (population 50,000), needing several experienced GP’s, we are actively looking to welcome Canadian Family Physicians to the region, following successful integration of other Canadian health professionals to the district.

Support with gaining Medical Registration, Medical Indemnity and Immigration clearance
Our team are experts in helping navigate both the medical council registration and subsequent NZ immigration processes and can take the guesswork out of a lot of this for you.
With close connections to the Royal NZ College of General Practitioners we can advise and help you through the end to end process to be able to work as a GP in New Zealand.
Assistance on other employment, housing, schools and general community integration
With extensive local recruitment networks, our team can assist in securing any other family members with viable employment opportunities in your new region.
Our community partners can also provide full support around enrolling children in local schools, local real estate support for either renting or buying and comprehensive info on all other aspects of settling into this incredibly welcoming community (banking, telecommunications, drivers licensing etc.)
