Māori Health
ProCare has a strong focus on improving the health and wellbeing outcomes of our Māori communities. We work in partnership with community organisations.
Our aim is to deliver programmes that help promote overall wellbeing for whānau, whilst at the same time reducing the incidence of factors that may cause ill health such as rheumatic fever, diabetes, heart disease, smoking and mental health and addiction challenges.
Asian Health
ProCare is committed to meeting the needs of our Asian communities by delivering culturally responsive healthcare.
Our expertise means that respecting language, traditions, and individual preferences, goes without saying. Our experienced, multi-lingual team makes services accessible and removes barriers, so every patient receives compassionate, high-quality support.
Pacific Health
ProCare aims to improve the health outcomes for Pacific communities by working in partnership with community organisations to address the equity gaps and integrate healthcare into the community.
We recognise people’s health and wellbeing can be supported in a range of different settings, including at home, at school, at church or at the gym.
Our five foundation areas for population health
In 2018, ProCare published Our Picture of Health — a landmark analysis of more than 850,000 enrolled patients. This work identified five key areas of focus across life stages, forming the basis of our Population Health Strategy.

Long Term Conditions (LTC)
To support New Zealanders living with LTC, ProCare aims to improve the care process and reduce equities.
Quality Of Life
Getting older can be tough so we are aiming to improve quality of life as people age. This strategy also aims to increase the life expectancy for Māori and Pacific people.
